OUR FATHER'S FESTIVALTM !2009 Feast of Sukkot / Tabernacles!
“By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another."
WHO ARE WE?
We are Four Sabbath-keeping fellowships in Arizona (See the Contact Us page), practically unknown to each other beforehand, who agreed to come together in 2008 to build upon the fruits of the Spirit and our commonalities in the faith– rather than the motes and beams that divide many– and to celebrate where many can attend, rather than the many festival sites where few attend–and co-sponsor an independent 2008 Festival of Tabernacles regional site.
As part of our joyful, cooperative journey in peace and unity of purpose, one may either participate in either the widely accepted Rabbinic Jewish Calendar and/or the Karaite / Sighted Moon Jewish Calendar which will be accommodated and observed for those attending Our Father’s Festival. Eight days of congregational teaching sessions and fellowship will further edify us with a stronger knowledge of the ‘Hebrew Roots’ of our faith combined with Messianic praise and worship along with recreation activities.
“So we, the many, one body are in Christ, and members each one of one another"–Rom 12:5
Courage, Compassion, Cooperation, Commitment, Celebration!
Reimiscent of Prescott's rich historic heritage coupled with the courage and cooperation of our several fellowships to go forward, Our Father’s Festival will be a location for “everyone”—teens, singles, families, seniors who wish:
Faith does come by hearing, but Faith works by love (Gal 5:6).
It’s about relationships!
Our Beliefs
Our leadership team (Contact Us) is composed of leaders from 4 different fellowships / congregations of different 'classrooms' in the faith. We recognise that although we may not be at the same classroom as others, we can still learn from each other (to eat the meat and throw away the bones) and still fellowship in harmony as we exercise the fruits of the Spirit. How many others can say that? We recognise that no one may agree on everything–no one human being will ever fully agree with any other human being. Nor does any one group or organization have all the complete answers. But we continue to grow and reach out to others who wish to grow in spiritual maturity, grace, and knowledge--and invite your fellowship's participation on our leadership team!
Although our congregations/fellowships are called by different names, we share the same foundational beliefs:
Our 3 Foundational Commonalities in the Faith:
SPECIAL NOTE: At our potluck meals we request that no pork products (ham, bacon, etc) or seafood (crab, shrimp, etc. other than fish) be served to honor our observance of the Scriptural dietary teachings.
