Registration Fee
There is a modest registration fee. Some may ask "Why a Registration Fee at all?" The Festival Leadership Team gave our fee structure much discussion. We are not a large or medium corporate church which can underwrite a Festival to provide many of the services associated with one; and whose services are based upon the donations of many people. This modest fee is intended to provide the minimum necessities (for example, decorations, food, name tags, printing, registration brochure, signage, etc.) for an enjoyable Festival for all. 100% of the fees go to Festival expenses and are returned to you, one way or another, through the Festival. Speakers are not paid--they volunteer to speak. We offer you a quality Festival experience as we did in 2008--our inaugural year.
A discounted Registration Fee is offered to encourage everyone to send in their payment early. This helps us to more easily plan for those attending, and to give us a foundation for acquiring the needed supplies.
For those that are so moved, we will have a “My Festival Gift” donation box to assist us in providing offerings for extra items and for providing financial assistance to enable others to attend the Festival.
LODGING
We request that you lodge on-site during the Festival. This will enable us to meet our attendance obligations to Camp Yavapines in order to hold the Festival there. Those who wish to stay off-site and attend ALL FOT acivities on-site (EXCLUDING congregational services, break-out sessions and welcome meals) will be charged an additional $5 per day by Camp Yavapines.
Camp Yavapines, 2999 Iron Springs Road, Prescott includes plenty Bunk house cabins, and RV sites with full hook-ups (electricity, water, sewer) and Tent sites; however, the Camp has limited cabins. If you wish to have a cabin, we encourage you to make a reservation with a deposit (see below) early. Photos of the lodging accomodations are shown in http://www.ourfathersfestival.net/location
NOTE: As part of our Festival arrangements with Camp Yavapines, Our Father’s Festival is required to collect the Lodging fees. We are happy to facilitate this service because of the fine facilities the Camp offers to us; however, this responsibility likens us to a motel / inn operator and manager---and creates much work for our small Festival Planning Staff. Please help us by registering early!
Check-in/out Times Information will be posted as the Festival draws near.
Extra Things you may wish to bring to the Festival:
1. A cushion to sit on for the Dome’s metal folding chairs.
2. Your own more comfortable folding chair for either the Dome or camp-site.
3. Candle and matches for the Community Out-Reach.
4. Flashlight.
5. 3-prong *outdoor* rated extension cord if there is an electrical outlet close to you and you wish to connect to it for
an small appliance when tenting. Note: No indoor cords are permitted outdoors on the camp grounds, and the
number of these allowed cords are limited and available on a first-come, first serve basis.
6. A 3 outlet plug-in to connect to an extension cord to allow more than one small appliance to be connected.
This list may grow as we approach the festival. We will keep you updated and include a weather report as the Feast draws closer.
Although we encourage all to stay at Camp Yavapines in order to meet our obligations, we recognize that the remaining accommodations of camping and bunkhouses may not appeal to everyone. There are many other local hotels and inns located adjoining the primary highways including Motel 6 and Super 8 (on Sheldon Street) for those on an affordable budget or the Marriot Spring Hill Suites (also on Sheldon Street) for a ‘step-up’ in quality. (Check the internet for details and the other many choices).
As a quality alternative, many enjoy the pleasant Hotel Vendome. This historic hotel is located just 1 block from the Courthouse Plaza with a front porch to enjoy the days and nights in a quiet and walkable neighborhood.
The Vendome Hotel offers a special rate which includes continental breakfast for those attending the Festival and not wishing to camp-out or use a bunkhouse: (rates will be provided sometime in June)
____ Sunday-Thursday & $___ Friday and Saturday---1 Queen bed
____ Sunday-Thursday & $___ Friday & Saturday----2 Bedroom unit with a Queen bed in each bedroom.
Local taxes not included in above rate. Call 1(888) 468.3583 or www.vendomehotel.com for more information and reservations. Be sure to mention “Our Fathers Festival” to obtain the special rate.
