OUR FATHER'S FESTIVALTM !2009 Feast of Sukkot / Tabernacles! Congregation Worship Speakers
All speakers (both Worship and Teaching session speakers) believe that we should live by every "word of God"; however, we may not agree or endorse everything they present either at the Festival site or on their respective web sites. We still agree to grow forward as One Body and recognise that all of us are individually responsible for "proving all things" in our walk to spiritual maturity and our relationship with Our Father. This freedom gives you a diversity of approaches to various topics to think about and discuss (to eat the meat and throw away the bones) to further your spiritual growth and walk in the faith. A more detailed desciption of the Speaker's topic will be found within our Festival Program to you (one per family) upon arrival at Camp Yavapines.
Would YOU like to Speak?
PLEASE See Our Invitation at the bottom of this page!
Attendance at all the speaking sessions is purely voluntary. There will be many activities at the Festival and we encourage all to seek balance–especially those with families–since this a vacation time for many of you, yet do not forget the meaning of why you are attending the Festival.

Steven M. Collins has authored five books documenting the migrations, kingdoms and locations of the biblical ten tribes of Israel after their exile from the Promised Land. Some of the events of Jesus Christ’s life become more understandable when they are examined in light of the politics that prevailed between Rome and Parthia at that time, including a group of Parthian elites—called the “Magi” or “Wise Men”---that chose Parthia’s emperors. He has also written many articles on a variety of biblical topics, prophecy related to the modern tribes of Israel and presented lectures to various audiences. After a career-ending injury, Mr. Collins directed his research skills to a comparison of secular historical records with the historical accounts of the Bible. The author is a former Board member of the Association for Christian Development (ACD), Auburn, WA, and a member of the former National Epigraphic Society founded by Dr. Barry Fell. However, his books represent the analysis and judgments of the author, and do not claim to represent the views of either organization. Steve will be audio conferencing with us with a Q & A session following his presentations. http://stevenmcollins.com/html/books.html

Festival Panel. Congregational Relationships – A Special Festival Break-Out session.
Panel: Gerald Ohst, Phil Ohst, Frank Seekins, Mordakhai Joseph, Mike Bacon, Moderator: Mark Webb
Relationships among believers in the faith can take dividing turns. No one is immune to division. Friendships and congregation/fellowship attendance can be broken over doctrine, administrative policies, government, but equally, if not more so on perceived slights, hurt feelings, personality differences, gossip, ego, and the inability to go to one’s brother when offended.
What are the scriptural character traits of a spiritually mature person? A carnal person? What is the role of the church/fellowship in a spiritual community of believers? Is it wrong to divide over doctrinal issues? If so, when? Does the end justify the means? What is the role of faith, patience, and kindness in such matters?
Believers need to be cognizant of their examples, the spiritually new people in the congregation, and the need to stand--whether individually and/or collectively—in order for one’s faith to be fully active with agape love (Gal 5:6), coupled with a clean conscience and an attitude of forgiveness while bearing all the fruits of the Holy Spirit.
A Festival panel will present and discuss their experiences and offer their recommendations on spiritually mature interpersonal relationship skills that believers need to be aware of, but also to begin to implement in their daily growth. A Question and Answer session will follow.

Uri Harel has always been committed to discovery and teaching. Born in Haifa, Israel, Uri attended college in Buffalo, New York, where he graduated with a degree in education. After moving to Phoenix, Arizona in 1977, he began what would become a life-long passion to explore and share with others the unique beauty of the Hebrew language.
Over the past 25 years, Uri has spoken, taught, and lectured in both the private and public arenas. His unique approach to teaching has earned him the respect of both his students and peers. In 1995, Uri founded the Center for Biblical Hebrew http://www.c-bh.com/ in response to the growing public interest in the original text of the Bible, and the Hebrew language in which it was written. Through the programs offered by the Center, people from all backgrounds and religious denominations have been able to explore this intriguing and powerful information in an open, informal and non-critical environment.
Research is a critical element in the work of the Center for Biblical Hebrew. During the past ten years, Uri has devoted his energies to exploring ancient Hebrew traditions about the mysteries of the Hebrew letters and the powers attributed to them. He has since put that research to work, and begun what promises to be a monumental undertaking: ‘translating’ the Hebrew letters of the biblical text into their equivalent musical tones was named the Music from God project (www.MusicFromGod.com). The musical products of this project are now distributed internationally and many volunteer musicians are working on new translations. The music is also being orchestrated and distributed to orchestras for live concerts. The Center for Biblical Hebrew has also created computer programs for translating the Hebrew letters to colors according to ancient traditions and offers many educational opportunity to those who are interested in Modern, Conversational or Biblical Hebrew.
